A March Break trip is planned for 2025 Greenwood grads and their families at the Finest Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.   Located near Punta Cana, the Finest resort is the perfect setting for grads, their parents and siblings to enjoy a vacation before graduation!   There are 7 swimming pools so parents, grads, and siblings can come together or find their own pool to hang with friends.  There is à la carte and buffet dining options as well as unlimited beverages.  There is a large gym and water activities  to keep everyone busy!

Step 1: Flights

To provide maximum flexibility, all Greenwood families can choose to book their own flights or book through TWIL Travel.  If you choose to book through TWIL Travel please fill out the following form.  If you have any questions, please contact groups@twiltravel.com. Please note, TWIL charges $75/ticket to book flights

The Finest Punta Cana can be booked through TWIL Travel or through the hotel website – the price is the same. Please note that rooms are booked on a first come, first serve basis. The cost of rooms vary depending on availability and are subject to change. You can click this link to reserve your room. There are 3 room categories available at the Finest Punta Cana: regular suites, Finest Club Suites, and Excellence Club Suites.  

‘Finest Club’ and ‘Excellence Club’ rooms provide access to additional pools, restaurants, bars, and amenities. The Excellence Club rooms are located in an adults-only area of the resort reserved for those guests 18+.

There is no room block; rooms are subject to website availability. Most rooms have 1 king or 2 double beds plus a sofa bed. Bed type is by request only and not guaranteed. Note the rooms are comfortable for 2 or 3 people. Before booking, please consult with your graduate to understand which friends they would like to room with. Changes can be costly and result in higher room rates. 

Regardless of the room category, there must be an 18 year old in every room. A child is considered to be 12 years or younger. Transfers are included in the rate for stays longer than 2 nights.

Step 3: Greenwood Group Activities

$500 CAD per person

• A welcome cocktail party to meet and mingle

• A white party dinner has been organized on the beach. 

• Catamaran Excursion to Saona Island: The tour starts at the hotel. You will be picked up and taken to Bayahibe Beach where the catamarans will begin the journey to Saona Island.  You will arrive at a beautiful beach for a buffet lunch and soft drinks, rum and water. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, and the beach!  

Golf, fishing, and island exploration tours can also be arranged directly with the hotel concierge.   

Transfers: Transfers are included for stays longer than 2 nights. Once flights are booked, transfers can be arranged through the hotel.

IMPORTANT: Dominican Republic now requires all passports to expire greater than 6 months prior to entry and exit.

Terms & Conditions 

Deposit and Payment

A $1USD deposit is required in order to book.  The payment is due 30 days prior to travel.  Please inform your credit card of the upcoming charge as it will say “Excellence Resorts Panama” and some credit cards may block the charge depending on your level of security.   $500 CAD Greenwood Group fee minus a $150 admin fee is refundable until 60 days prior to travel.  

Cancellations

Cancellations are permitted up to 24 hours prior to travel and are subject to a $200 cancellation fee.  All cancellations within 24 hours of arrival are non refundable. 

Incidentals

Individual guest accounts are payable at check-out by cash or credit card. In order to be able to access the ancillary services of the Hotel, each guest will be required to present a valid credit card upon check-in, on which an amount of sufficient pre-authorization can be obtained to cover the anticipated use of Hotel’s ancillary services. All accounts must be settled prior to departure.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is strongly encouraged.  Both Travel medical and cancellation insurance is available to purchase here through TWIL Travel. 

Parent or Guardian Required

In order to book, each graduate must have a parent or guardian present with them on the trip. If you are 18, you still need a parent or guardian on site for the duration of your time at the resort.  Furthermore, there must be an 18 year old in every room in order to book and check in to the resort.   Each parent is responsible for their own children and their conduct.  TWIL Travel is not responsible for supervising or chaperoning minors.  It is expected parents/guardians will closely monitor children in their care and take responsibility for the teens in their care. In the case of an emergency or any urgent issues, a parent/guardian will assume all responsibility for the children in their care. 

Code of Conduct

All guests at the Finest Punta Cana booked by TWIL Travel are expected to follow a Code of Conduct that requires standards of conduct expected of all guests. Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in expulsion of guests from the hotel before the end of their stay. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the hotel’s code of conduct. 

Prohibited conduct under the Code includes but is not limited to:

• Assaulting, harassing, intimidating, or threatening another individual or group

• Endangering the health or safety of others

• Stealing, misusing, destroying, defacing or damaging hotel property or property belonging to someone else

• Disrupting hotel run activities

• Using facilities without authorization

• Using, possessing or distributing illegal drugs

FAQ

Who can attend? 

Families including siblings and friends of Greenwood 2025 graduates are welcome and encouraged to attend!  This is a family trip to celebrate the graduates last March break. 

How old do you need to be to check in?

There needs to be an 18 year old in every room.  Under 17 year olds will not be able to book a room on their own or check into the hotel without an adult present.

Do you need a wristband?

No!  As of 2024, Finest Punta Cana does not use wristbands to identify guests.

Can you visit the Excellence section of the resort? 

Yes all adult guests (18+ years old) can visit, but you need to be booked in a Finest Club or Excellence Club room in order to make dinner reservations in this area. 

Are there connecting rooms?

No, but there are family suites with 2 bedroom options. 

Are there rollaway beds?

No, but there are sofa beds in most rooms. 

How long can you stay? 

You can book 5 days or more with TWIL Travel. 

Can you process the payment of a hotel room on multiple cards?

Unfortunately Finest Punta Cana only allows one credit card per room
